Please note, all proceeds will go directly to T-Model Ford and his wife Stella to help cover medical/nursing expenses and any other expense incurred from their recent move due to their house being condemned. FOR OFFICIAL RELEASE:T-MODEL FORD, one of the most beloved Mississippi Bluesmen has come under difficult times. At 92 years old, he is still living and breathing the blues. T-Model and his wife Stella have recently moved from their home (due to it being condemned). This has all taken place while the Greenville legend has been trying to recover from a series of strokes he suffered the past several months. At this time, he is in good spirits, is talking and joking. If you ask him how he's doing, he's likely to give his signature "like an apple hangin' on a tree" reply. However, he cannot walk or play his guitar right now. Because of the hardships, KEN VALDEZ has decided to reach out and lend a hand to his friends T-Model Ford and Stella. Presenting "Jack Daniel Time - A Tribute To T-Model Ford" This is an EP of Ken Valdez and his River City Renegades giving their take on some of T-Model Ford's classics. "Everyone involved has donated their time to this project. This will be done with nothing but love for T-Model. It is my take on his music. He's got a style all his own and I can't even come close to what he has created, however, I approach it with complete respect" said Valdez in a recent interview. "What is also important to know is 100% of all profits made from this album go directly to T-Model Ford and Stella. Everyone has the blues. Everyone knows what rough times are. They are just going through a bit more than they can handle right now. T-Model is a friend and someone who made me believe in the blues. I'm not sure how much money this will make, it's up to everyone we present it to, but as I've said before, a little love goes a long way." The release date will be within the next few weeks.
